Nike Mad Jibe - Salesman Sample B (2009)

the mad jibe was nike's answer to the sperry topsider and received just over a dozen different color combos throughout its production run. this rare sample colorway was slated to release sometime during the summer of 2009 but never quite made the cut. had the swoosh brand rolled these out later in spring/summer of 2013, maybe the boat shoe + nike elite sock combo that had american youths in a chokehold would've made a bit more thematic sense.

since salesman samples are produced exclusively for nike's traveling product educators (EKINs), there were never very many pairs of these in existence to begin with. i've never seen this colorway until now but it is easily one of my favorites.

• features double-stitched nubuck leather uppers with woven polyester vamps & quarters, leather laces & insoles, goldtone D-ring eyelets, EVA foam wedge midsoles and stitched solid rubber cupsoles with concentric ring tread at the forefoot. made in china.

• 8.5/10 condition: fully intact with faint signs of wear in the leather near the toes, faint midsole oxidation, and some minor tread wear on the outsoles - no sole separation or cracking detected. in overall good preowned vintage condition for being 16 years old. please read our policies before and wear at your own discretion on account of age.
