Nike E-Scape - Unreleased Sample A (2004)
when nike's mark parker & legendary industrial designer marc newson came together in 2004 for the zvezdochka, it was a historic moment in footwear design: named after the high-flying soviet space dog, the glueless, 3D-modeled, modular shoe was (and still is) equal parts modern art & technological marvel.
based on the date listed on their tags, i believe it's safe to assume that the e-scape was developed shortly after the zvezdochka's debut as a takedown model, sporting zoom air in the heels & a very similar midsole/outsole tooling paired to a significantly milder upper.
2020's nike IPSA link sneaker shares a notable amount of design elements with these. i'm doubtful that this model was ever made it past the sampling phase seeing as there is virtually zero information pertaining to them online, and the only other pairs i've seen also happened to be samples too. extremely niche pair, ideal for the collectors!
*NOTE: this pair can be bundled with corresponding sample B for a discounted rate and combined shipping. contact me via e-mail or instagram DM for details.
