Nike Nguba - Size 9.5 (1994)

- this rugged silhouette came from factory with a set of velcro straps to keep the rider's shoelaces out of the inner workings of their bicycle - i'm not too sure why the straps were removed. wildly popular for their SPD cleat compatibility, these & the fan-favorite poohbah were revamped for 1995 as the nguba 2 & supa poohbah, outfitted with new colorways, buckle closure straps inspired by the nike air raid, and ACG branding on the outsoles, though they didn't catch on quite like the originals.

- nike hasn't released a purpose-built mountain biking shoe, SPD compatible or otherwise, since the late 1990s, ultimately signalling that the brand had ceased its efforts in this branch of action sports; with that said, the original nguba is one of the more easily accessible nike cycling silhouettes at the moment, however there is zero indication of a reissue on the horizon.

• 7/10 condition: mostly intact with mild scuffing & discoloration scattered throughout the suede portions of the upper, both medial side velcro straps have been removed, and fairly light tread wear on the outsoles with cleat covers still intact - in decent preowned vintage condition for being 30 years old. please read our policies before buying and wear at your own discretion on account of age.
