Nike ACG Air Moc Sobek II - Size 10.5 (2005)
- men's size 10.5, women's size 12 (28.5cm)
- original box included
- 9.5/10 condition: fully intact with no real indications of separation, crumbling, or prior wear, but a small white blemish near the medial side ankle of the right shoe; in very good deadstock vintage condition for being 19 years old - please wear at your own discretion on account of age, ideal for collection or display purposes as-is
- features double-stitched chrome tanned leather & pig suede uppers, woven nylon pull tabs, dual elastic side gores, high rubber toe caps, polyurethane midsoles, heel mounted (?) encapsulated air units, and solid carbon rubber outsoles; made in china
- despite being more structured than the original potato-shaped camp bootie, the sobek was designed to serve a similar purpose as a comfortable "in-between" shoe intended to be worn before & after long hikes or strenuous physical activities: their wide toe box and unrestrictive fit give the wearer's feet & toes ample room to breathe, while their low-drop, air cushioned soles act as a buffer between you & the harsh elements underfoot
- this model shares its name (and its overall shape) with the ancient egyptian god of order & fertility, depicted as an adult man with a nile crocodile's head; the sobek II seems better suited for wet & muddy conditions than its predecesor, hence the addition of rubber toe caps and outsole tread patterns somewhat similar to those used for some of ACG's later amphibious shoes
- being both limited production & regionally exclusive, these hardly ever surface outside of japan and are even rarer to find unworn with their original box; you would be hard pressed to find another pair in any condition
