Nike Beachcomber Roller - Size 6.5W (2002)

these breezy derby skates were built with boardwalk strolling in mind, hence two of their colorways being named after popular southern california beaches (santa barbara & manhattan, respectively.) prior to these, metal plates were mounted from factory to heritage models like the blazer, all court, killshot 2, cortez, & waffle trainer going into the 1980s in order to keep up with the roller disco craze of the times.

these & other 4-wheeled nike silhouettes were only made possible due to the brand's acquisition of bauer hockey's parent company, canstar, in 1995 in an attempt to gain notoriety within the realm of hockey. this would later prove to be unprofitable, and the two companies would split in 2008. the chances of nike revisiting the concept of a nike-branded skate - whether ice or street - are virtually zero. these are very rare, especially unworn.
