Mizuno MZ-650 - Size 8 (1983)
- men's size 8, women's size 9.5 (26cm)
- comes with cassette system insoles, but no box
- 9/10 condition: fully intact with minor blemishes throughout the uppers from improper storage and yellowed glue stains, with no real indication of being worn prior; in good deadstock vintage condition for being 39 years old - shoes feel solid with no signs of sole separation, but do so at your own discretion on account of age
- features chrome tanned pig suede & polyester fabric uppers , padded nylon tongues, dual-density RB foam midsoles, modular "cassette system" EVA foam insoles, & grooved carbon rubber outsoles
- out of its peers, the low slung mz-650 was the best suited for running on pavement thanks to the 81 different levels of cushioning & support provided by their fully customizable insoles; these borrow the outsole mold from the comparably bare-bones mz tr-50, leading me to believe these are intended to be a successor of sorts
- you would be very, very hard pressed to track down another unworn pair of these with their accompanying inserts & instructional booklet; here's a cool opportunity to experience a functional piece of obscure sneaker history
