Jay-Z X Reebok S. Carter III - Size 11 (2004)

in any conversation about reebok's collaborative sneakers with jay-z (AKA S-dots or shawn carters, depending on who you ask), it is the s. carter 3 that almost always seems to fall by the wayside, which is unfortunate since i think these are the best looking out of the 3 gucci-adjacent lifestyle silhouettes; the only time this model really got to shine was when a black-toed promotional sample version emblazoned with audemars piguet's "AP" at the heel was auctioned off via sothebys some time ago (winning bid unknown)

for some context, jay-z & AP's north american president teamed in 2005 up to celebrate his music career's 10 year anniversary by hosting a private launch party in NYC where attendees could view & pre-order from a selection of commemorative AP royal oak offshore chronographs (available in stainless steel, rose gold, or platinum) that came with a special box containing a custom engraved steel, gold, or platinum-clad ipod 40G; although nothing is mentioned about shoes being distributed, i can imagine pairs of these were given/sold to a select few partygoers since i've been able to find 2 owners of 2 separate pairs, but none in jay's size.

while i'm unsure of how many of these exist, i can assure you these are extremely rare considering i've only ever seen 6 pairs total, with 3 of which being the promotional samples mentioned prior.

- 8.5/10 condition: fully intact with minor creasing at the toe boxes, faint signs of wear in the sock liners, and very mild tread wear on the outsoles; in overall good preowned vintage condition for being 20 years old - very sturdy in-hand but some of the insole backing foam is beginning to deteriorate, so wear at your own discretion on account of age
