Nike Big Nike High OG - Size 7.5 (1985)

- men's size 7.5, women's size 9 (25.5cm)

- replacement box included

- 6.5/10 condition: uppers are fully intact with significant wear throughout the toes & heels of each shoe, missing midsole stitching around the toes, slightly ripped & heavily stained tongues, crunchy collar foam, mild midsole oxidation, one torn eyelet on the right shoe, a small piece of the midsole chipped away at the left shoe's heel, & heavy tread wear on the outsoles; in rough preowned vintage condition for being 38 years old - miraculously still wearable (soles are flexible & leather has been conditioned with mink oil), but ideal for collection or display purposes as-is

- features double-stitched full grain leather uppers with synthetic suede branding, padded nylon tongues, leather heel tabs, closed cell EVA foam insoles, & stitched solid rubber cupsoles; made in the people's republic of korea

- offered in low, mid, & high top cuts, this model's name is very self-explanatory - while easily mistaken for a nike dunk at first glance, taking a peek at the heel of either shoe will quickly dispel that notion, with the characteristic all caps "NIKE" typeface blasted across their heel counters acting as a…subtle reminder as to what their name is

- these hoop shoes were a popular choice among collegiate & professional basketball players, frequently seen on courts across the USA as demonstrated by the late manute bol on slide 4; as such, a handful of player-exclusive & sample pairs of these have been documented by collectors and sneaker historians over the last 40 years, with one of the more memorable examples being a black-on-white high top sample pair equipped with full-length air units and a natural grey outsole

- unfortunately, their 2016 retro was a bit subpar - stiff, plasticky leather specifically plagues the white & wolf grey pair (which i've owned) - making these OG pairs even more sought after in my opinion; undeniably rare, and free from the heel counter spiderweb crackling normally found on larger pairs
