Adidas Tourney - Size 10 (1985)

one of the lesser known OG basketball models from adidas, this vaulted silhouette & its low top counterpart, the classic, hit the market the same year as the recently rebooted forum low, mid, & high. seasoned adidas collectors or 1980s american film fans may recognize this model from michael j. fox's role in the 1985 film "teen wolf," in which his character scott howard notably dons a blue & white pair.

after receiving an era-appropriate refresh in 1991 (still as a high top basketball shoe) the "tourney" name would be attached to a handful of apparel pieces in the modern day, specifically a retro-inspired track suit and a messenger bag. with almost 4 decades passing since their initial release, it doesn't seem like adidas has much intention on reissuing these - especially with the forum already filling a very similar niche. as it stands, surviving examples prove immensely difficult to track down.
