Nike SC-E - Size 10 (1991)
following the american bicycle craze of the mid-1970s, nike began developing a range of specialized footwear & apparel to suit the needs of hardcore triathletes and track cyclists, to city commuters and hobbyists. i'm not totally sure of what the "E" in their name stands for, but this road cycling silhouette was released under nike's echelon umbrella, which was only labeled as such in catalogues from 1991 to 1992 - by 1993, it was simply "nike cycling" and has remained as such ever since.
intact examples from that very brief period are very, very rare as many of them were worn into the ground as opposed to being stashed away for future documentation. this is not a pair that you will see often, especially in this condition.
